Montana Tech T2200 Styrofoam Primer 400ml

Montana POLYSTYRENE PRIMER is a specially developed primer for polystyrene and polystyrene surfaces, perfect when you want to create a safe and neutral base for further painting. It is designed to effectively seal and protect sensitive materials that can otherwise be affected by solvent-based paints.

The primer improves adhesion, increases coverage for subsequent paint layers and seals porous surfaces. When the surface is properly covered, it also helps prevent subsequent paints from reacting with the substrate. The result is a more durable surface with better color intensity and a longer life for your project.

Montana POLYSTYRENE PRIMER has a beige/brown, matte finish and is based on a Nitro-Combi formulation that provides a relatively neutral base for paints from the Montana GOLD, BLACK and WHITE series. It is applied easily and evenly with the included Montana FLAT JET Medium cap, but can also be combined with other caps for varied spray patterns.

Due to variations in polystyrene material, it is recommended to always test on a less visible area first. For best results, the surface should be completely sealed - the more porous the surface (with air pockets), the more coats are required for complete protection against subsequent paint.

After application, the primer should cure for at least 24 hours before further painting. It can then be overcoated with Montana Cans paint, TECH or EFFECT sprays.

Usage:

Apply in several thin coats with approximately 1-2 minutes between each coat. Make sure the surface is clean and that all cavities are covered for best protection.
