Montana PLASTIC PRIMER is a specially formulated primer for plastic surfaces, perfect when you want to create a smooth and neutral base for further painting. It is developed to effectively seal and prepare plastic materials, which provides better adhesion and a more durable end result.

The primer improves the adhesion of the paint, increases the coverage of subsequent layers and helps to seal porous surfaces. It also reduces the risk of cracking and peeling, which makes the paint last longer and look better over time.

Montana PLASTIC PRIMER can be used on several types of hard plastic, such as polyurethane (PUR), polystyrene (PS), polyamide (PA), modified polypropylene (EPDM), ABS plastic, glass fiber reinforced plastic (GfK) and hard PVC. Please note that it is not recommended for soft plastics. Since plastics can vary in composition, it is always recommended to test on a less visible surface first.

The primer has a semi-gloss, transparent white finish and is based on a Nitro-Combi formulation that creates a neutral base for colors from the Montana GOLD, BLACK and WHITE series. It is easily applied with the included Montana FLAT JET Medium cap, but can also be used with other caps for varied spray patterns.

For best results, the surface should be clean, dry and free of dust and grease before application. Also remember that plastic can expand and contract with temperature changes - therefore avoid extreme weather conditions during and after painting.

Apply in several thin layers with approximately 1-2 minutes between each layer. Let the primer cure for at least 24 hours before further painting. It can then be overpainted with any Montana Cans color, TECH or EFFECT spray.

A reliable primer that provides better adhesion, smoother results and increased durability when painting on plastic surfaces.

Hazard information and safety data sheets can be found under the Specification tab.
