Wild Style is a 1982 hip-hop film produced by Charlie Ahearn. Wild Style was formally released in theaters in 1983 and is considered the absolute first hip-hop film. The film featured groundbreaking characters and legends in hip-hop culture, such as: Fab Five Freddy, The Chief Rocker Busy Bee, Lee Quinones, Lady Pink, Zepher, Queen Lisa Lee of the Zulu Nation, Patti Astor, Rock Steady Crew, Pop-O- Matics, The Cold Crush Brothers, Fantastic Romantic 5, Grandmaster Flash, Grand Wizard Theodore, Grand Mixer DXT, Rammellzee, Double Trouble and Kool Moe Dee. With creative visual contributions from Lee Quinones, Dondi White, Zepher, Dr. Revolt, Sharp, Jane Dickson, Chris "Daze" Ellis, Johnny "Crash" Matos, Noc 167 and more.

The film has introduced and influenced music, dance and art worldwide for three decades. Wild Style gave us an insight into the then underground culture of New York City in the early 80's known as hip-hop and the now infamous subway and graffiti scene.
