POSCA pens contain an opaque, odorless, water-based paint that can be used for many different types of creative projects and works on many different types of materials. In this guide, we list 6 different tips on things you can do with POSCA pens!
Paint your porcelain and ceramics with POSCA pencils. It doesn't matter here if you happen to paint incorrectly, the paint is easy to wipe off on smooth surfaces before it hardens. After you design your porcelain or ceramic, you can harden your design to make it permanent.
Ceramics are fired in an oven at 220 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.
Porcelain is hardened in the oven at 160 degrees Celsius for 45 minutes.
When the product has cooled, you can apply a layer of spray varnish!
Paint on plastic such as mobile phone cases and cases for headphones! Choose a glossy or matte finish with spray paint. Allow the first coat of spray paint to dry before applying another.
Paint on wood such as skateboards with POSCA pencils! When you paint with POSCA on porous surfaces such as wood, you really only need to paint the surface if you want it to be more wear-resistant. We recommend Montana Tech T1000 Varnish gloss spray!
You can do that easily with spare tips that are available to buy in most sizes. Carefully pull out the tip and replace it with a new one.
Do not worry! If your tip has dried out, you can easily fix it by putting the tip in a glass of water for a few minutes. Then the tip becomes soft again and can be used as usual.
