Since the 80s, Vallejo has developed paint specially adapted for painting models, miniatures and dioramas. Vallejo was founded in 1965 and initially produced paint for films and cartoons. Colors from Vallejo can be seen in famous old cartoons such as Snoopy and Flintstone. The next step for Vallejo was artists' paints, both acrylic and watercolor paints. During the 80s, the demand for hobby paints and hobby materials for painting miniatures and models grew. Vallejo then began to manufacture paint specifically adapted to the needs of painting dioramas, models and miniatures. The smart little 17ml dropper bottles were a great success and in 1955 the color range was expanded. A few years later, Vallejo brought out their Model Color, the world's largest range of colors for painting models. Today, the range from Vallejo is filled with favorites among hobby enthusiasts worldwide.
