Mr Hobby products are recognised the world over as some of the best for crafters and modellers alike. They include a range of airbrushes and craft accessories and an even more impressive range of paints.

Gunze Sangyo, now known as GSI Creos, is the Japanese company behind the excellent Mr Hobby products, but modelling materials are really just a very small part of what they do. The company is part of a huge concern producing everything from silk and textiles to nanotechnology and industrial coatings.

The plastic modelling paints were developed by Gunze in the latter half of the 1960s and in 1977 they were branded Mr Color. Since the 1980s, Mr Color paints have been widely used as a representative model paint, as aircraft model manufacturers like Hasegawa, Fujimi, Italieri and Dragon use the names of Mr Color paints as their colour designations.

Mr Color paints from Mr Hobby are one the finest range of modelling paint available and cover a wide variety of finishes including flat, semi-gloss, gloss and metallic. Included in the range are many specifically matched paints for aircraft, ship and armoured vehicle scale modelling, including FS, BS and RLM colours. The paints are non-toxic and safe for use with solvent based acrylic paints. Their fast-drying, smooth even covering and colour depth makes them ideal for airbrushing and the colour palette is consistent with the requirements of hobby modelling.
