    The story of Faber-Castell

    Faber-Castell's history goes all the way back to the year 1761 when Kaspar Faber outside Nuremberg, Germany founded the company, which then only manufactured pencils. After a few generations, new agencies and subsidiaries, they took the name Faber-Castell. After the Second World War, they began to manufacture ballpoint pens, which then around the world began to replace the previously popular fountain pen. During the 60s Faber-Castell also started with felt-tip pens and in the 80s they opened the world's first rubber factory.
