An extremely smooth surface that is hand-built, acid-free and archival, excellent for use with most painting techniques & media. Ampersand Gessobord is made with Ampersand's "True Artist Hardboard™ and Archival Seal™ technology". The frames are hand-built with premium 13-ply birch plywood for maximum stability and an extremely fine finish.

It is pre-treated the surface is primed with a high-quality acrylic-based gesso that does not affect the color of the paint and provides an even and fine texture. Ampersand Gessobord is perfect for painting with a brush, palette knife, heavy impasto, wipe-out and glazing techniques and more.
