Traces Copenhagen

This book brings together two decades of bombing and street photography from Copenhagen. Across 132 pages, a wide range of tags and throw-ups from the Danish capital are documented and presented in a compact pocket-sized format. Printed in black and white, the photographs emphasize contrast and highlight both the handstyles and the raw urban environment. The overall aesthetic echoes the punk-inspired fanzines of the 1990s, capturing the spontaneity and energy of the streets.

The book features a mix of well-known Danish writers and a younger generation of bombers, creating a diverse range of styles—from clean, minimal tags to dirtier and more chaotic expressions. Contributors include Kegr, Tomcat, Rens, Birds, Moas, Raks, Feff, Jetset, Grape, Peach, Sabe, Cave, Ouze, Føte, Sleep, Helmet, Ond, Tvod, Lips, Snoph, Kmer, Beta, Teen, Black, Sazer, and many more.

The publication is produced by TagsAndThrows, a project that began as an Instagram account in the early 2010s and has since grown into one of the world’s largest platforms dedicated to documenting bombing—the rawest form of graffiti, focusing on tags and throw-ups. In addition to its online archive, TagsAndThrows has released several books and a number of bombing documentaries.
