When graffiti came to Sweden, the scrawls already existed. But the letter shapes and coloring, directly on raw concrete, caught the eye. Not least because the paint magically squirted out of a bottle and white covered black.
The spray can became a charged contemporary symbol, which still makes school children enthusiastically shake the can and imitate the sound of the spray.
"Drivgas & Pigment" brings to mind memories of graffiti, such as spray can brands and colors, how the young graffiti painters acquired their materials and why the spray can continues to attract.
