Schmincke Special Painting Gel is a medium that can be used to make acrylic paint more fluid and softer to work with. It also gives the acrylic paint a higher gloss level and longer drying time. This allows you to get perfect transitions and blends that you can work with over a longer period of time. Mix a 1-1 ratio of paint and Schmincke Special Painting Gel. The paint takes on a creamier consistency and acts more like an oil paint.
